Have any experiences or tips about staying at the Hotel Penn?
Know of any good alternates? ...just in case.
Whether someone has asked about it on here or not --if it's important, you should post it to the wiki for everyone. I've seen many people here give some tips to others. *You know who you are!* So, there should be plenty of people with valueble tid-bits to add. ;]

Well, what can I say? The location of this hotel is the only positive thing I can think of. The lobby was nice, that's about it for the inside. Overall, it was a hotel of disappointment. I am sorry to say that, but that is the true.

I didn't have any problems. I went to the room at about 4:30am-5:30am passed out, woke up about 10am, got a shower, then back out. Bed was comfortable and shower was hot. There were 5 of us crammed in a double room with a upside down picture and a blocked door. I am planning to stay there again.

I have stayed at the Hotel Penn every time. It's not the world's best hotel, but it works. I mean I am only in the room for a total of 5 drunk hours of sleep...then a still partially drunk shower. I spend so little time in the hotel room, that it works just fine for me.

It is positively the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in some pits both foreign and domestic. I have 2 basic rules. A clean bathroom and a floor I can walk on barefoot. This meets neither....ever. Goto tripadvisor.com and read some reviews of it, it will make your hair crawl.

We just checked in last night and the employee went out of her way to help us with some needs for our son. So far a great experience. She even apologized for the long wait in line (since there was only 2 people at the desk). Yeah she could've been forced to say it, but she still acted like she meant it rather than the "sucks to be you for having to wait" that you often see with employees everywhere.
