Anyone up for a hacker con in NYC?
Anyone up for a hacker con in NYC? HOPE is a con run by the same folks who bring you 2600 magazine, I'm sure you all know about it.
Anyway, who is up for a meetup? I believe the con will be in summer of 2012, no details have been released as yet but given their schedule it is fairly predictable. Even better would be to split a room or two.
Will post more details as I get them.

There are dates set already. July 13 - 15, 2012 at the Hotel Penn. Some tickets have already been sold.
2600.com and hope.net are good places to keep up to date about the happenings of HOPE...along with the HOPE forums.

There are always a bunch of meetups and get togethers that spawn during the con. I'm sure if you promote the details when the time gets closer people will show up. This will be my 4th Hope that I've been to and I've always had a blast going to the different get togethers. One year I even managed to go to the HHH (Hacker Halfway House) party in Brooklyn. That was a blast but way over crowded.
