Hi, not sure this is the right section to post in, but it looked like the most general of the section themes. I was wondering what it would be like for me to come to one of these conferences. I have been a listener of Off the Wall and Off the Hook, and have subscribed to 2006 for a few years. I hesitate to call myself a hacker, as I am not that skilled. I am just someone that likes technology and like what the hacker community stands for, as I see it from listening and reading. I work as a academic librarian in the technical end of things. So, the question is what would it be like for someone like me to come to this years conference? I have always wanted to attend, but shied away from registering because I was not sure how I would fit in. Any feed back would be great! --libtech

Ok, so take a look at...

http://www.the-fifth-hope.org/hoop/5hope_speakers.khtml

... and if you see more than three seminar topics that interest you, then you should definitely show up for The Last Hope.
To fit in all you have to be is curious.
